Castellammare di Stabia is located to the south of Naples, between the end of the Vesuviana area and the beginning of the Sorrento peninsula. Casa del Console is on the edges of Castellammare in the direction of the Sorrento peninsula. The apartment is part of an elegant 19th century villa surrounded by an historic garden filled with timber trees. In the past it was the residence of the Russian consul. This spacious apartment is located on the ground floor with a terrace for the exclusive use of the guests and a swimming pool that is shared with the owners of the villa. It has all mod cons: air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen. The property is located in a strategic position, to the south of Castellammare, with easy access to the Sorrento peninsula and the connecting roads to Sorrento, Positano, Pompei, Naples and Paestum. Casa del Console is located in an area of Castellammare with many archaeological sites of rare beauty which form a whole with the area of Pompei. The Pompei excavations are just 11 km away from the property and it is a few minutes from the archeological area of Castellammare with the Ville Stabiae, the ancient Roman villas: Villa Arianna is 3 km away and Villa San Marco just4 km. These two residential Roman villas which are currently being excavated are open to the public free of charge (well worth a visit!).DISTANCES AND USEFUL INFORMATION: Restaurant: a 5 minute walk away Beaches: The area’s most famous beaches are Famous Beach and Stone Beach (1 km from the property). Trekking: - Monte Faito, which can also be reached by cable car, offers enchanting views and breathtaking sunsets. With its altitude of almost 1200 meters it is like a large green pair of lungs which dominates the Sorrento coast. Beeches, chestnuts and centuries-old holm oaks are the trees most commonly found.
