Cilento CoastThis coastline is less known than the world famous Amalfi coastline, but certainly as beautiful as Amalfi, located further south in the Campania region near the border of Basilicata. This region is one of the best kept secrets of Italy and very popular as holiday destination for the Italians. It is situated in the Unesco listed Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park with amazing mountain ranges, outstanding sandy beaches and with a rich history. A place you must visit is Paestum, created around 600 BC with beautiful Greek temples or the village of Velia which was founded by the Greeks with remains of the city walls. Also for a holiday at the beach, Cilento offers all kind of bays and beaches from large sandy beaches to small pebbled beaches inside beautiful caves near the villages Acciaroli, Punta Licosa, Pioppi and Palinuro. When you like to visit festivals, Cilento is the place to be with a strong tradition of food festivals like Ciccimmaretati in Stio or Festa nel Bosco di Perito. Nature lovers should visit the Gole del Calore with magnificent canyons and white limestone cliffs and can be explored in a canoe, paddle boat or by foot. The best way to reach our villas in this region, is by flying to Naples or Bari and drive from there to your destination.
